Ekkamai International School (EIS) celebrated a significant milestone in youth ministry during its Adventurer and Pathfinder Investiture Ceremony on May 13, 2026, officially investing 685 Adventurers and 500 Pathfinders in a program designed to nurture leadership, character, and faith among young people.

Held in Bangkok, the ceremony highlighted the growing influence of Adventist youth ministries in reaching families from diverse backgrounds. According to organizers, many of the students and parents involved in the program are not members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, making the initiative an important avenue for introducing Christian values and the love of Jesus through mentorship, service, and community engagement.

Parents filled the venue with joy and pride as they watched their children participate in the investiture rites, recognizing their children’s dedication and growth throughout the year. School administrators and faculty described the occasion as more than a ceremonial event, emphasizing its role in building strong relationships between families and the school community.

Pastor Heshbon Buscato, Youth Director of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division, delivers the keynote message during the Adventurer and Pathfinder Investiture Ceremony at Ekkamai International School in Bangkok, Thailand.

Pastor Heshbon Buscato, Youth Director of the Adventist Church in the Southern Asia-Pacific region (SSD), who served as the guest speaker for the event, expressed his appreciation for the students’ creativity and commitment to service. “What a joy to witness the creativity and hard work of our Adventurers on display through their beautiful crafts—one of the meaningful requirements for their investiture,” Buscato said. “Even more inspiring is their desire to sell these crafts to help fund community outreach projects. So proud of these young hearts learning creativity, stewardship, and service all at once.”

The creative projects formed part of the students’ investiture requirements and were later used to support community outreach initiatives.

In his message, Buscato encouraged the young people to remain faithful in their journey with God and to use their talents and influence to serve others.

Organizers also expressed appreciation for Buscato’s continued support of youth ministries within the Southeastern Asia Union Mission (SEUM). His presence and encouragement, they said, continue to inspire both young people and church leaders to strengthen ministry efforts among children and youth across the region.

Ekkamai International School is a private Christian school in Bangkok, Thailand, founded and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. As part of the worldwide Adventist educational system, EIS integrates spiritual values with internationally recognized academic programs, aiming to provide holistic education that nurtures students intellectually, physically, socially, and spiritually.

The Adventurer and Pathfinder clubs are worldwide youth programs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that focus on spiritual development, leadership training, practical skills, and community service. Through activities, mentorship, and faith-centered learning, the ministry seeks to help young people develop a deeper relationship with Jesus while becoming responsible and compassionate members of society.
