Two new leaders have been elected to key administrative posts in the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, completing the top leadership team alongside newly elected SSD President Pastor Roger Caderma.
Pastor Samuel Yotam Bindosano has been elected as Executive Secretary, while Mr. Jacinto Adap has been reelected to continue serving as Treasurer. Their election took place during the GC Nominating Committee meeting held at the America's Convention Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
Pastor Samuel Yotam Bindosano: A Legacy of Mission from Papua
A native of Papua, Indonesia, Pastor Bindosano brings to his new role nearly four decades of frontline mission experience. For 37 years, he has served the Adventist Church in multiple roles, including as church pastor, district leader, church planter, teacher, evangelist, and global mission trainer. He has also held responsibilities as a departmental director, executive secretary, and president within local missions across Indonesia.
For the past 20 years, Pastor Bindosano served in the East Indonesia Union Conference, first as executive secretary for 10 years and then as its president for another decade. His consistent leadership and passion for mission have helped strengthen the Adventist Church’s presence in challenging and culturally diverse territories.
He holds a Bachelor of Theology degree from Klabat University in Manado, Indonesia, and a Master of Arts from the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS) in the Philippines.
Pastor Bindosano is married to Ninfa Bollina Guillem. They are blessed with five grown children and two granddaughters.
Pastor Jacinto Adap: Steward of Mission Finance
Continuing as SSD Treasurer, Pastor Jacinto Adap brings more than 30 years of faithful service in financial ministry and leadership. A graduate of Philippine Union College (now Adventist University of the Philippines) with a degree in Commerce, majoring in Accounting, Adap’s career spans decades of dedicated financial oversight within the Adventist Church.
He began his ministry in local missions and climbed the ranks, serving in various finance and accounting positions before assuming his current post as SSD Treasurer. He later earned a Master of Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting and Finance from AUP, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Adap’s influence reaches beyond financial stewardship. He has actively supported the Church’s mission through participation in evangelistic campaigns across the Philippines, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. In 2020, he co-founded CAMP Calubcub, a community center aimed at promoting health, mentorship, and Christ-centered living.
His life of service is shared with his wife, June Darlene, a fellow professional in finance and risk management. Together they have two children, Jon Dean and Dwayne.
Leading Forward in Mission
With Pastor Caderma, Pastor Bindosano, and Pastor Adap now forming the SSD administrative team, church leaders across the division anticipate a continued commitment to advancing the gospel throughout the region. Their combined experience, cultural awareness, and unwavering faith are expected to guide the division’s mission-focused initiatives—particularly in areas within the 10/40 Window where the message of hope remains most needed.
The SSD is home to 11 countries across Southeast Asia and the Pacific, including regions with significant religious diversity and cultural complexity. The new leadership is expected to lead with prayerful discernment, missional courage, and strategic direction as the Church advances toward its goals under the worldwide “I Will Go” initiative and the SSD’s upcoming “Harvest 2025” campaign.
