Pastor Roger Omallao Caderma has been re-elected as president of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church during the 62nd General Conference Session held in St. Louis, Missouri.

This is after the SSD Nominating Committee convened on Monday, July 7, 2025 consisting of 20 members including four advisors to deliberate and discuss the leaders of the church in the Southern Asia-Pacific region.

Pastor Caderma will continue to lead the SSD, a territory that spans 11 countries across Southern Asia-Pacific, many within the 10/40 Window—an area that presents both missional challenges and rich opportunities for evangelism.

A Journey of Faith and Service

Born in Baladjay, San Remigio, Antique, Philippines, Pastor Caderma originally pursued a degree in agriculture technology at Central Philippine Adventist College. However, a strong sense of calling led him to shift toward ministry. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Mountain View College, followed by a master’s degree in public health from the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS) in 1999. He later received certification in Trust Services and Planned Giving from Colorado Springs in 2005 .

He began full-time ministry in 1988 and has since served in various roles—district pastor, director for multiple departments, and mission and union president. His leadership trajectory includes serving the Southern Mindanao Mission, South Philippine Union Conference, and the SSD as Vice President for NDR-IEL. He was first elected SSD president during the 2022 General Conference Session in St. Louis.

Evangelism and Infrastructure: His Lasting Impact

Known for his passion for evangelism and infrastructure development, Pastor Caderma has strengthened church growth across diverse cultural and religious contexts. His leadership has helped mobilize members for integrated evangelistic efforts, leadership training, and local church development throughout Southeast Asia.

He is also a proponent of wellness and community-building among church workers, promoting sports and healthy lifestyles as part of holistic ministry.

A Devoted Family Man

Pastor Caderma is married to Danita Perez Caderma, who serves as the SSD Children’s Ministries Director and Ministerial Spouse Coordinator. They are blessed with two children—Keenen Glee and Kenphil Boone—and four grandchildren .

Moving Forward

With his re-election, Pastor Caderma will continue to provide strategic and spiritual leadership to the Southern Asia-Pacific Division. His unwavering dedication, rooted in faith and experience, ensures continuity as the division moves forward with its mission to share hope, make disciples, and prepare people for Christ’s soon return.

His leadership underscores the vital contribution of SSD in the worldwide Adventist movement, serving as a strong witness from the heart of the 10/40 Window and inspiring members to press on in united mission.
