Youth across the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church stepped into communities on Global Youth Day (GYD) 2026, transforming streets, hospitals, and neighborhoods into places of service, compassion, and hope.

Global Youth Day is an annual initiative of the Adventist Church that mobilizes young people around the world to shift their focus from the church to the community. Guided this year by the theme “Communion in Action,” youth embraced the call to live out their faith through meaningful acts of service, demonstrating that a relationship with Christ finds its fullest expression in loving others.

This year’s observance carried added significance in parts of Indonesia, where GYD coincided with the beginning of Ramadan. Recognizing this sacred season for Muslims, many Adventist youth intentionally designed their outreach efforts to build bridges of understanding, respect, and compassion with their Muslim neighbors.
