‘Journey of Hope’ Evangelism Campaign Welcomes Over 500 New Members

      October 16, 2024

The Adventist Church in Negros Occidental, Philippines (NOC), in cooperation with the “Revival Hope Global Outreach” team, hosted an evangelistic effort in 10 different locations of Negros Occidental from August 25-31, 2024, under the theme “Journey to Hope.”

Revival of Hope Global Outreach Ministries (ROHGOM) is a U.S.-based organization. It promotes the gospel through global evangelism projects and has conducted outreach in several countries, including the Philippines, Ghana, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The organization also supports local leaders by providing resources for evangelistic efforts worldwide.

The simultaneous evangelistic campaigns spanned across several key areas, including the Metro Bacolod Districts and the Manapla-Victorias-Cadiz Districts. The outreach extended to Murcia, Silay, Calatrava, and the San Carlos City District, as well as the Cuayan and Toboso-Escalante Districts. Additionally, Sagay and Don Salvador Benedicto were also covered, highlighting the widespread reach of the initiative across multiple districts in the region.

Jamaican evangelist Philber Grant highlighted the collective mission of sharing Jesus beyond personal comfort zones. He explained, "It is called ‘Journey to Hope’ because, as Seventh-day Adventists, we anticipate the second coming of Jesus, our Blessed Hope." He also expressed joy at the readiness of the harvest in the Philippines and his eagerness to return.

Each evening, the program featured a children’s hour, a health lecture, and praise music before Grant delivered his ‘Journey to Hope’ message. Over 500 people accepted Jesus through baptism as a result of the crusade, which had the support of NOC administrators, pastors, and church members. This highlights the value of cooperation in missionary work.

NOC Executive Secretary Pastor Brendo Caroz expressed gratitude for the church’s united effort, stating, "This is a blessing and hope that strengthens us to share the Word of God."

Bro. Aljohn Jusay, Calatrava district leader, also acknowledged the support from the NOC administration and praised the dedication of the ‘Journey to Hope’ team. He expressed thanks to all participants, particularly Hope Channel, for their vital role in making the program a success.
