The 2022 Annual Council Meeting of the Southern Asia-Pacific Adventist Church begins

      November 6, 2022

The Life Hope Impact Center, a newly established Center of Influence next to the division office, will host the Southern Asia-Pacific Division's Annual Council Meetings, also known as Year-End Meetings, from November 7 to 9, 2022. This is the first annual meeting held entirely in person since the pandemic and the first gathering since the General Conference Session on June 6, 2022.

The General Conference holds regular quinquennial meetings, which are known to churches all around the world. The purpose of this meeting is to bring together church leaders from around the world to discuss the state of the church in terms of evangelistic growth, financial health, and impending forecasts to enhance the church's mission in various parts of the world.

The Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD), one of the thirteen regional organizations (called Divisions) of the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, holds its annual meetings in between GC Sessions in addition to the regular quinquennial meeting that takes place every five years in the General Conference. The work of evangelizing the nations of Southeast Asia, including Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam, as well as the nations of Southern Asia, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, is managed by the Southern Asia-Pacific Division.

Delegates from the unions and institutions attend regional annual meetings to discuss critical activities that will be taken at the meetings and to receive updates. Additionally, churches can update their church policies during this period and obtain GC-approved programs through organizations and institutions. More importantly, this is the moment when the local church leaders gather to ardently pray and devote the expanding work of the local church.

The church is requesting your prayers during these sessions so that the Holy Spirit will be present while they make crucial choices for the advancement of God's work.
