SunPlus opens new office in the Philippines, expands technical support for the Adventist World Church's financial operations

      February 8, 2023

On February 7, 2023, the SunPlus Support and Services in the Southern Asia-Pacific region launched its new office for operations in the newly established Life Hope Impact Center in Silang, Cavite, Philippines. The new office is expected to provide assistance to Division offices and entities in deploying the SunPlus software that is tailored to varied accounting industry practices and professional connections throughout the world.

The SunPlus Global Leadership team, headed by Brent Burdick, together with Danny Orillosa, David Anokye-Larbey, Gustavo Massaro, and Gerardo Sangronis, added prestige to the historical gathering with their presence. Neighboring institutions such as Adventist World Radio, General Conference Auditing Services, and the leadership and support personnel of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division all graced the institution's latest milestone.

"We do not work in isolation, we work with you as a family of God," said Brent Burdick, General Conference SunPlus Global director. "All of you coming here enhances the ministry of SunPlus through your support and presence," Burdick added.

Dr. Daryl Gay Tanamal, one of the region's junior financial executives, recalls God's guiding and involvement as the idea to construct the SunPlus office was realized and accomplished. Tanamal emphasized "the need of linking the church's commitment in mission and the people's association to go ahead in mission together."

"We encountered various hurdles, but the Lord intervened and His plan to have this facility up and running, to better assist our divisions in giving the greatest auditing support to handle the church's financial operations," Tanamal said.

SunPlus Global Services and Support Manager Lusekelo Witson Mwamakamba also offered his opinions on how SunPlus may contribute to the purpose via the specialty that the Lord has handed to its staff. "SunPlus Services and Support is here to give dedicated and timely support to entities all over the globe, as well as services in supporting organizational operations and ministries," Mwamakamba said. "We are motivated by the purpose of upholding and supporting guardians of God's treasures," he continued.

SunPlus is a financial management and accounting software suite with powerful analytical features developed for use in the majority of the Seventh-day Adventist Church's administrative and institutional entities worldwide.

The SunPlus mission is to build up the entire denominational financial management system: success will thus consist of widespread and successful adoption of the software as well as enhancing the capabilities of church workers responsible for accounting and financial management.
