Adventist World Radio (AWR) received the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Stakeholders’ Award 2025 in recognition of its continued support for peacebuilding and community development efforts across the country.

The award was presented during the 90th AFP Stakeholders’ Appreciation Night on Dec. 16 at the AFP Commissioned Officers’ Country Club in Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

Pastor Robert Dulay, AWR–Asia-Pacific Region director, accepted the recognition on behalf of the organization, together with former Ambassador Bienvenido Tejano, an AWR board member. The ceremony was attended by General Romeo S. Brawner Jr., chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

While the award acknowledges AWR’s contributions to national development, church leaders emphasized that the recognition reflects only a small part of the organization’s broader purpose.

AWR exists to share the message of Jesus through media ministry and compassionate service, reaching communities often affected by conflict, hardship, and isolation. Through its humanitarian arm, AWR360, the ministry has partnered with several key units of the Philippine Army, including the 2nd Infantry Division, 203rd Infantry Brigade, and the 4th and 68th Infantry Battalions.

These partnerships have supported programs that help former rebels rebuild their lives through scholarships, livelihood assistance, transportation support, and donations of essential equipment. AWR360 has also strengthened geographically isolated and conflict-affected communities through the construction of Jungle Schools, water systems, and public facilities, along with medical missions, feeding initiatives, and disaster response operations.

In addition to humanitarian outreach, AWR continues its broadcast ministry through AWR Manila 89.1 FM, airing values-oriented programs that encourage moral recovery, resilience, and understanding among diverse communities.

The AFP Stakeholders’ Award affirms the impact of sustained partnerships that promote peace and development. For AWR, however, such recognition ultimately points back to its mission: bringing hope, healing, and the love of Christ to people in need through broadcast and service.
