Official Adventist General Conference Session App Available for Download

The app includes enhancements designed to streamline attendee and delegate experiences during the 2025 GC Session in St.Louis.

The 2025 General Conference (GC) Session app is now available for delegates and attendees to download in preparation for the 62nd GC Session scheduled for July 3–12, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri.

“This is truly the inaugural digital-first GC Session and the app is central to that experience,” said Sam Neves, GC associate director of Communication.

The previous session, held in 2022, was a hybrid event that introduced the first version of a GC Session app. However, that version was built on a third-party event platform, resulting in a limited user experience.

“For this year’s session, we wanted the best possible experience,” said Neves. “That meant investing the time to develop our own application.”

Beginning in August of 2024, in partnership with IAtec (The Adventist Institute of Technology) in Hortolândia, São Paulo, Brazil, the GC developed its own app designed for reuse at future sessions and other World Church events.

IAtec, whose center boasts over 300 developers, worked on implementing a modernized layout and design, developing an administrative web panel, and creating a reusable structure.

      App Enhancements

The redesigned app features a modern interface with a new color palette, a splash screen displaying the St. Louis Arch and the GC Session 2025 logo.

Daniel Bogdanov, GC assistant director of Communication and a manager on the project, emphasized the focus on user functionality.

“We designed the app with both delegates and visitors in mind,” he said. “Navigation, especially around exhibit booths, was a major challenge in 2022. This time, it's a priority feature.”

The app is now available for download on iOS and Android devices. It operates entirely in English, but livestreams and news updates within the app will be available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Russian.

      Features and Accessibility

Sabrina De Souza, associate treasurer of the GC and leading the app's development, said that the upgraded app's purpose is to streamline and enhance the GC Session experience.

“The app will provide delegates, special guests, and general attendees with all necessary information in one accessible platform, improving the navigation of both the event and the host city,” said De Souza.

Enhancements based on user feedback from the 2022 session include:

      • A local restaurant directory

      • A comprehensive event map

      • Detailed session schedules with notification functionality

      • Live voting results

      • Speaker and musician profiles

      • Rules of order for meetings

      • Prayer session details

      • Business session information

      • Emergency contacts

      • Live streaming accessibility

      FAQ Section

The new “Business” section in the app, found under the ‘More’ tab, houses voting results, church manual access, and constitutional documents. These are tools critical to the governance process of the session conducted by delegates.

Delegates at GC Session are church representatives from around the world who gather to vote on policies, leadership and strategic direction of the World Church for the next five years, including electing the president of the global Seventh-day Adventist Church.

      Early Preparations

Though the session does not begin until July 3, 2025, Bogdanov advises those attending to download the app as soon as possible to begin planning airport transportation, food, and a session schedule.

“There is no need to create an account to utilize the app; simply search for GC Session 2025 in your app store, press download, and begin navigating the app,” said Bogdanov. “Even if you are not physically attending, the app will allow you to plan your remote itinerary through favoriting events that are live-streamed.”

As the 62nd GC Session approaches, those involved with the development and creation of the app ask that God will use the app to enrich the experience of attendees and delegates.
