Following the recent dissolution of the North Philippine Union Conference (NPUC), the newly reorganized entities have elected their inaugural administrators, signaling the commencement of official operations on January 1, 2025. The Southern Asia-Pacific Division Executive Committee, in its annual year-end meeting, voted to affirm the election of these new leaders, marking a pivotal step for the newly established organizations.

NLPUM

In the newly established Northern Luzon Philippine Union Mission (NLPUM), Pastor Daniel Malabad, former president of the Palawan Mission, has been elected as president. Pastor Jose Zabat, who previously served as the executive secretary of the North Philippine Union Conference, will continue as executive secretary in this new organization. Meanwhile, Mrs. Germilyn Rabang, former treasurer of the Northern Luzon Mission, has been appointed as treasurer of NLPUM, bringing her experience to support the mission’s financial leadership.

SLPUM

In the Southern Luzon Philippine Union Mission (SLPUM), a pioneering team of administrators has been voted in the SSD year-end meeting as well. Pastor Gerry Cajobe, current president of the North Philippine Union Conference, will now lead SLPUM as president. Pastor Danilo Fiecas, former president of the Mindoro Island Mission, has been named executive secretary. Additionally, the recently appointed treasurer of the Central Luzon Conference will now serve as treasurer for this new union in Southern Luzon, strengthening SLPUM’s financial foundation.

This ongoing expansion of reach and delegation of mission work is enabling the church in the Southern Asia-Pacific region to adopt a more strategic approach, ensuring structured information dissemination and a mission-focused budget allocation.

The SSD Year-end Executive Committee has also approved the re-election of Mr. Panahatan Doloksaribu as treasurer of the West Indonesia Union Mission. In line with policy guidelines, Mr. Doloksaribu will continue his term through 2025, providing continuity and stability in financial leadership.
