New Platform Launched to Enhance Synergy Among Adventist Websites

At the Global Adventist Internet Network (GAiN) in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Hope Media Europe in partnership with the General Conference(GC) launched a new content management system called Adventist Web Engine. This platform aims to provide a network for Adventist organizations and institutions to enhance their online presence. The project is led at the GC level by John Beckett, who is the director of the Office of Digital Media Technologies.

The Adventist Web Engine for various Adventist Church online ministries caters to organizational corporate sites, news sites, native applications, publication sites, TV channels, radio stations, video-on-demand sites, podcasts, magazines, and more.

The Adventist Web Engine provides easy-to-use products for church ministries, allowing partners the freedom to develop and contextualize their own online presence. The platform’s networking feature enables content sharing and syndication, significantly extending reach beyond individual regional boundaries.

“The core features of the platform include a website builder, an article manager, and a media library manager. These components enable every institution to share various resources, from video content to other materials,” said Nestor Escobar, Director of Software Development at Hope Media Europe.

“Additional features, such as the church finder and automated website creation for local churches, further enhance the platform. However, the essential features emphasize collaboration as a core principle,” he added.

Organizations within this ecosystem are expected to benefit from shared resources, tools, and content with proper attribution. By reusing infrastructure, codes, software, and other resources, investments are minimized. Additionally, the platform offers advanced features such as search engine optimization (SEO), AI-ready infrastructure, and other technological solutions.

According to Escobar, the platform has already welcomed several websites that are in the process of migrating. The Adventist News Network website was successfully onboarded two months ago and has since developed a more corporate, user-friendly vibe, welcoming both Adventists and seekers.

"The benefit is collaboration. The core of our church is the local church, but often we work in isolation. This platform enables collaboration between missions, conferences, unions, divisions, and even the global church. It allows us to interchange materials, resources, and initiatives all together on one platform,” said Escobar.

Developers of the platform say it is continuously evolving, discovering new features that allow regional offices to adapt and smoothly contextualize their content.
