More than 1,000 people were baptized across Cambodia following a nationwide evangelistic series, one of the largest reaping events in the country’s Adventist history.
From September 17–20, 2025, the Adventist church in Cambodia (CAM) led the Harvest 2025 initiative in partnership with the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD), the Southeast Asia Union Mission (SEUM), and with support from Adventist World Radio (AWR). The evangelistic meetings were conducted at 25 sites in Phnom Penh and seven provinces, resulting in 1,022 individuals choosing baptism on September 20.
Despite heavy rains, national holidays, and regional challenges, Adventist pastors, Bible workers, and local members pressed forward with the message of hope. Much of the outreach centered on Cambodia’s northeast, where diverse ethnic groups—including Kuy, Brao, Kreung, Tampuan, Phnong, Jarai, Lao, and Vietnamese minorities—responded to the gospel.
International and regional leaders joined the effort, including SSD President Pastor Roger Caderma, SEUM President Pastor Somchai Chuenjit, AWR Vice President Cami Oetman, and AWR Asia Regional Director Pastor Robert Dulay. Together with local leadership, they witnessed lives transformed by God’s Word.
“This historic harvest is a testimony of God’s power and the dedication of His people,” said CAM President Pastor Hang Dara. “The mission in Cambodia is not finished, but we are encouraged to continue reaching unreached villages with the gospel.”
The Cambodia initiative reflects the vision of Harvest 2025, a division-wide campaign mobilizing churches, institutions, and members across 11 countries in the Southern Asia-Pacific to share hope, love, and salvation. The baptisms in Cambodia highlight both the challenges and opportunities of mission in the 10/40 Window, where millions have yet to hear the gospel message.
As Harvest 2025 continues, CAM leaders remain committed to sowing seeds of faith, believing that this milestone is only the beginning of a greater spiritual movement in the country.
