Mandolang and Adap named as new executive secretary and treasurer of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division

Mandolang and Adap named as new executive secretary and treasurer of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division

      June 11, 2022

Immediately after the announcement of the Division presidents, division caucuses convened to elect the executive secretary and treasurer of their respective divisions. After deliberation and many prayers, Elder Wendell Mandolang, the current Ministerial Secretary of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division, was elected as the new Executive Secretary. While for the treasurer position, Elder Jacinto Adap, the current Under treasurer, was elected as the new treasurer replacing Elder Max Langi, who expressed his retirement early this year.

Wendell Mandolang has been in this ministry for more than 39 years. He is a pastor’s kid from the West Indonesia Union Mission. He served in several capacities such as district pastor, church pastor, mission departmental director, conference executive secretary, division director, union executive secretary, union president of West Indonesia Union Mission, and currently, Division Ministerial Association Secretary and Chaplaincy Ministries Director.

He is married to Etty Simanjuntak. They are gifted with two children. Waldemar and Euclea are physicians, both having finished their Medical Doctor degrees at the University of Northern Philippines in Vigan, Ilocos Sur.

Jacinth Adap has served the church in various capacities since 1984. He started as a church auditor and accountant at the Central Luzon Conference before moving to the North Philippine Union Mission. He became the financial controller of the Southern Asia Pacific Division in 1997. In 2004, he answered the call to become Associate Treasurer in the Southern Africa-Indian Ocean Division in Zimbabwe and South Africa. At present, Adap is serving as the Under Treasurer of the division.

Adap is married to Darlene, who is currently serving as the Risk Management Services Director in the same organization. They are blessed with two sons, JD and Dwayne, with their own families and ministries.
