      Let’s take a look at the exciting social media highlights from last Saturday as young people across the division came together to celebrate Global Youth Day!

      Bali, West Indonesia

      To support the Global Youth and Children’s Day program, the Adventist Church in Hang Tuah in Bali organized a free takjil distribution on Saturday afternoon, March 15, 2025, with the spirit of Total Member Involvement.

      The event took place in front of the church building on Drupadi Street, Denpasar, where youth, children, and senior church members came together to serve. A total of 150 takjil packages were distributed to passing motorcyclists, spreading joy and warmth to the community.

      Members of Jemaat Hang Tuah Seventh-day Adventist Church in Bali, Indonesia, took to the streets for Global Youth Day 2025, distributing free takjil to passing motorists. This initiative, held in front of the church, was a collective effort of youth, children, and church members to express goodwill and strengthen connections with the local community.

      Takjil, a term commonly used in Indonesia, refers to light snacks or sweet refreshments typically consumed to break the fast during Ramadan. By sharing these small meals, the Hang Tuah congregation expressed goodwill and strengthened connections with the local community.

      With the active participation of 30 young people, 12 children, and 9 senior church members, this initiative became even more meaningful. Through this simple act, the Hang Tuah congregation not only shared food but also extended care, love, and a spirit of togetherness, in line with the mission of Global Youth and Children’s Day.

      North Sulawesi, East Indonesia

      The Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Mongondow, Modoinding, and Gorontalo Mission Districts joyfully celebrated the Global Youth and Children’s Day initiative. The event was organized in Pinasungkulan, Modoinding, bringing together young people and children in a spirit of service and mission.

      With hearts full of gratitude, participants distributed books, fruits, and other gifts, sharing God’s love with the community. The outreach was well received by everyone they met, creating meaningful connections and leaving a positive impact.

      Adventist youth in East Indonesia participated in Global Youth Day 2025 by distributing fresh fruits and literature to members of their local community. With smiles and gratitude exchanged, this simple act of service reflected the spirit of compassion and mission, spreading hope and faith to those they met.

      As the young people fulfilled their mission of “Be the Sermon,” they prayed that the books they shared would become a blessing to those who received them, planting seeds of faith and hope.

      Samar, Central Philippines

      The Adventist Youth of Catbalogan District participated in the annual Global Youth Day (GYD) on March 15, 2025, bringing the theme “A Community Transformed” (ACT) to life through acts of service in Zone 5 and Zone 6 of Paranas, Samar.

      Demonstrating the spirit of compassion and mission, the youth actively prayed with families, sang songs of hope, and distributed essential goods to those in need. They also organized a free ukay-ukay (clothing giveaway), a feeding program for children and families, and the distribution of fresh fruits and inspirational books to uplift the community.

      As part of Global Youth Day 2025, the Adventist Youth of Catbalogan District gathered to distribute essential goods, books, and other supplies to families in need. This initiative aimed to provide support and encouragement while fostering connections within the community. Through acts of service, they continue to reflect the mission of sharing hope, kindness, and faith with others.

      The day was not just about service but about connecting with people, sharing kindness, and witnessing the joy of giving. Through these efforts, the CAYO youth embraced the true essence of Global Youth Day, leaving a meaningful impact on the lives they touched.

      Bukidnon, Southwestern Philippines

      After several nights of evangelistic meetings conducted by Tree of Life Ministry in Kulasihan, Lantapan, Bukidnon, the series culminated in a spirit-filled Sabbath worship in the morning.

      In the afternoon, the group joined hands in service and outreach for Global Youth Day, bringing hope and kindness to the barangay. The event was made even more meaningful with the presence of SSD Youth Director, Pastor Ron Genebago, mission directors, district pastors and Lantapan District members.

      Volunteers from Tree of Life Ministry in Kulasihan, Lantapan, Bukidnon, provided free eyeglasses and reading materials to community members. This initiative aimed to improve vision and literacy, empowering individuals with tools for a better quality of life.

      Laguna, Philippines

      The Adventist Church in San Pedro, Laguna, participated in Global Youth Day 2025 at the Dela Paz community near Laguna Lake.

      As part of the initiative, volunteers engaged with the community, distributed materials, and conducted outreach activities. The event aimed to extend support and share biblical messages in an area within a highly urbanized city.

      Adventist youth of Chrysanthemum Church in Laguna, Philippines, extended a helping hand by distributing food and bread to those in need as part of Global Youth Day 2025. Their commitment to service and compassion reflects the mission of sharing hope and kindness within their community. Through these simple yet impactful acts, they continue to Be the Sermon in everyday life.

      Church leaders and members requested prayers for the community, expressing their commitment to continuing outreach efforts and engaging in acts of service to promote faith-based connections.

      Pangasinan, Philippines

      After participating in the division-wide Pathfinder Camporee at Mountain View College, Pathfinders from Mapandan Adventist Church put their learning into action by engaging in Global Youth Day activities. As part of their outreach, they visited homes within their communities, distributing gifts and literature to the residents. Through this initiative, they aimed to share messages of hope and service, reinforcing the values they embraced during the camporee.

      Pathfinders from an Adventist Church in Pampanga, Philippines extended care to their community by providing basic health screening and assistance to those in need.

      Davao, Philippines

      For the fourth year, the Adventist youth of Magsaysay in Davao participated in a community outreach initiative by distributing 5 kilograms of rice per family, benefitting 111 families.

      The effort was carried out through the involvement of Adventurers, Pathfinders, Ambassadors, Young Adults, Master Guides in Training, Master Guides, and Senior Youth Leaders, alongside church members from across the district.

      Pathfinders in Davao, with the support of church members, visited communities in their region to distribute essential goods, offer prayers, and share inspirational literature. Their efforts aimed to provide both physical and spiritual support, reflecting their commitment to service and mission.

      By engaging youth in acts of service, the initiative aims to equip them with leadership skills and a commitment to community support. Organizers emphasize the importance of service-driven leadership in both church and society, underscoring the broader mission of preparing for Christ’s return.

      Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

      Adventist youth in Ho Chi Minh City actively participated in Global Youth Day, engaging in community outreach by distributing food and literature. Their efforts reflect the global mission of serving others and sharing kindness. Through simple acts of service, they are making a meaningful impact in their local community.

      Situated in a predominantly non-Christian territory, Adventist young people from Vietnam joined others worldwide in demonstrating simple acts of kindness, fostering connection and compassion within their community.

      Seremban and Sabah, Malaysia

      Young people from Seremban, Malaysia, joined the global initiative by encouraging their young people to go out in the streets and send out invitations for free health screening.

      In Sabah, young people, along with their church friends and leaders, went out to the streets to collect trash. A simple gesture of being a good member of their society and a sign of compassion extended to the community.

      Adventist members from Seremban took their mission beyond church walls, distributing health screening invitations inside a local appliance store. Their outreach aimed to extend basic health care and share awareness on how to better health lifestyle.
      More is better than one. Adventist Youth in North Sabah, Malaysia, demonstrated the power of collaborative effort by working together to make a positive impact in their community. As part of Global Youth Day, young people took to the streets to collect garbage and help beautify their surroundings, reflecting their commitment to service, stewardship, and community care.

      Singapore, Singapore

      This year, Adventist youth in Singapore launched a reclamation initiative aimed at reconnecting with young people who have drifted away from the church. This effort, a collaboration between youth leaders and church members, seeks to rebuild relationships, offer support, and remind former members that they are valued and missed. By reaching out with care and intentionality, the initiative fosters a sense of belonging and spiritual family, reassuring these young individuals that they are always welcome in the church community.

      Adventist youth in Singapore engage in a heartfelt initiative to reconnect with young people who have drifted away from the church. Through handwritten letters and personalized messages, they express love, encouragement, and a reminder that everyone is valued and belongs to a spiritual family.

      Yangon, Myanmar

      Despite ongoing political challenges, Adventist young people in Myanmar courageously took to the streets to make Global Youth Day a reality in their community. With unwavering faith and compassion, they distributed rice and essential supplies while sharing literature to bring hope and healing to those in need.
