Hope Channel South Philippines Celebrates Thirteenth Anniversary

Media missionaries from various missions and conferences within Mindanao convened at the SPUC headquarters in Cagayan De Oro City on November 24–25, 2023, commemorating the thirteenth anniversary of Hope Channel South Philippines. The gathering, attended by mission and conference administrators alongside their respective communications directors, commenced with the commissioning ceremony on Friday night, November 24. During this ceremony, media missionaries reaffirmed their commitment and passion for disseminating the message of hope and love through mass media.

Hope Channel President Pr. Joel Sarmiento was the guest speaker for the event. In his address at the commissioning ceremony, he delved into the significance of the three angels’ message with the goal of touching the hearts of many souls in need of salvation. He expressed, “The Revelation is filled with messages of hope that we need God to thank for. That’s the reason why we are celebrating not only Hope Channel but also the goodness of God in our lives.”

On the Sabbath day, November 25, at the SPUC Garden Church, Hope Channel South Philippines broadcasted a special program celebrating God's blessings and faithfulness to the media ministry. The program featured songs of praise and personal testimonies spotlighting the work of Hope Channel in Mindanao over the years.

During the Divine Worship, Pr. Sarmiento appealed to the audience, stating, “We invite you to a life of praise, celebration, and glory to God.” He reminded everybody to engage with the third angel's message by taking part in spreading His Word by sharing the channel’s programs through social media platforms.

The celebration concluded with a festive night gala at the Mallberry Suites Business Hotel, incorporating contests that depicted the spirit of being a passionate media missionary.

Today, with millions of users on social media in the Philippines, the Hope Channel South Philippines aims for its programs to gain more significant traction among these users, reaching many who are in need of a loving Savior.
