Hope Channel Central Philippines Takes Media Ministry to the Next Level with New Studio and Transmitter Expansion

      March 28, 2023

Hope Channel Central Philippines' new studio and transmitter site development fosters advancement in media ministry.

With the mission to continually provide quality programs to enrich the lives of the viewers with wholistic and inspiration-driven content and better signal reception, Hope Channel Central Philippines celebrated its blessing and inauguration of the new studio and transmitter site at the CPUC headquarters in Cebu City, Philippines on March 21, 2023.

Over 200 Adventist leaders from all over the Philippines, along with government officials, were in attendance at this important celebration. The event, hosted by Hope Channel Central Philippines, kicked off with an opening address by Brgy. Kamputhaw Councilor Rene Sagayno who expressed gratitude for the invitation and warmly welcomed all guests.

Mr. Bernie C. Maniego, communication director of the Adventist church in the central Philippines (CPUC), expressed his gratitude to previous and current CPUC administrations, supporters, and sponsors for their role in bringing to fruition this significant media project. The new studio, transmitter site, transmitter house, 3.5 KW digital TV transmitter, and tower have been finally completed, marking a long-awaited achievement for the local churches. Maniego was overwhelmed by the project's completion, which he noted had been long overdue. Despite some individuals having passed away before the project's realization, he thanked God for granting their prayers. Maniego emphasized that the media platform would allow the church to reach those who have not yet heard the gospel.

Meanwhile, Pastor Heshbon R. Buscato, communication director for the Adventist church in the Southern Asia-Pacific region (SSD), opened his speech by congratulating Central Philippine Union Conference for boldly and courageously achieving such a daring project. He also shared that when the world becomes harder to reach for the gospel, God gives His people the power of media and TV ministry to make it easier.

"We have the blessed hope as we wait for the appearance of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ... Change is inevitable, but let us always remember that in synergy, there is strength. Media ministry is expensive, but when we spend more, we could expect a much greater return," he elaborated further in his presentation by quoting different verses from the Bible.

On the other hand, Pastor Eliezer T. Barlizo, Jr., CPUC president, expressed his appreciation to God for the enlightenment and the privilege of having this one-of-a-kind occasion. He also commended Pastor Agapito J. Catane, Jr., former CPUC president, for being a visionary leader for Hope Channel Central Philippines.

"We are beyond grateful for the support of our church members throughout the Central Philippine Union Conference territory and even to all our constituents living outside the country for their benevolence in extending their financial assistance to us. Praying that this ministry will lead more people to know Christ and accept Him as their personal Savior," Barlizo said.

Furthermore, Pastor Lemmuel V. Lauron, station manager for Hope Channel Central Philippines, shared that the main focus of HCCP is to strengthen and create more programs that will help fulfill the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. "Through God's grace and guidance, we will be able to make Hope Channel Central Philippines one of the centers of influence online," he conveyed.

Along with the blessing and the inauguration of Hope Channel Central Philippines' studio and transmitter site, the Central Philippine Union Conference also inaugurated the new apartment located at the CPUC compound as one of the housing facilities for its workers.

Furthermore, Pastor Renito C. Inapan, CPUC treasurer, recognized God's immeasurable blessings which He generously bestowed on Central Philippine Union Conference. "Praise God from whom all blessings flow. May God's love continually radiate in us as we become His channels until He comes. Amen," he exclaimed.
