Hope Channel Central Philippines Makes Historic Leap to Digital Broadcasting

Hope Channel Central Philippines (HCCP) marked a significant milestone in its broadcasting history on February 7, 2024, as it celebrated the digital switchover ceremony of Hope Channel TV 25 at the Hope Channel transmitter site in Brgy. Babag 1, Cebu City, Philippines. This transition signified HCCP’s unwavering commitment to innovation and enhanced broadcast quality in delivering and sharing the love of Jesus Christ and the good news of His soon coming to all people through holistic Bible-based television programs.

The Hope Channel's digital transmission in the Central Philippines represents the country's second digital facility and holds the promise of extending its outreach to communities throughout the greater Cebu area. Hope Channel Central Philippines, in collaboration with Sundance Communication Networks, Inc., has spearheaded this initiative, ensuring a robust broadcast capability of 3.5 kilowatts. This transmission will encompass nearby cities such as Talisay, Mandaue, Mactan, and neighboring islands, with an anticipated audience exceeding 900,000 individuals in this culturally vibrant metropolis.

Hope Channel Philippines stands out as one of the pioneering TV networks that transitioned to digital transmission following the Philippine government's announcement of a full migration to digital broadcast in 2015.

Administrators and directors from the Central Philippine Union Conference (CPUC), representatives from the Hope Channel Central Philippines board and staff, and President Rafael Basilio Apolinario IV of Sundance Communication Networks, Inc., participated actively in the event. Pastor Eliezer “Joer” T. Barlizo, Jr., CPUC president, expressed profound gratitude for the realization of this long-awaited digital transition, acknowledging the collaborative efforts of past administrators and partners.

"We truly praise God for this blessing to the Central Philippine Union Conference territory. Our viewers can now access our programs through Hope Channel TV25.1. We are deeply grateful for your support and prayers as we utilize this media ministry to reach hearts across our territory," Pastor Barlizo stated.

Furthermore, Pastor Bernie C. Maniego, CPUC communication director, expressed enthusiasm for the transition and extended appreciation to supporters for their unwavering backing. Emphasizing the importance of embracing new technologies, he underscored the channel's commitment to spreading the message of salvation.

"We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter in our broadcasting journey. Let us continue to pray and support Hope Channel Central Philippines as we dedicate ourselves to producing impactful programs through this digital platform," Pastor Maniego said.

In addition, Pastor Lemmuel V. Lauron, HCCP manager, highlighted the significance of digital broadcasting in reaching individuals and preparing them for the coming of the Lord. "The digital transmitter is a powerful tool to deliver the good news about God's kingdom to every home, gadget, and heart," he remarked.

Furthermore, Pastor Joel L. Sarmiento, President of Hope Channel Philippines, praised the leaders of Central Philippines for their steadfast dedication to evangelism through the media. He highlighted their investments in infrastructure and technology as concrete manifestations of their unwavering commitment to propagating the gospel.

"As we move forward into this new era, let us remember Jesus' promise to draw all men to Himself. May God continue to bless Hope Channel Central Philippines," Pastor Sarmiento concluded.

As Hope Channel Central Philippines embarked on this new era of broadcasting, it remained steadfast in its mission of sharing love and transforming lives through television programs reflecting God’s boundless love and promises. HCCP eagerly anticipated inspiring and connecting with audiences through its digital platform, positively impacting lives across the Philippines, and preparing them for Christ’s imminent return.
