Global celebration of literature evangelists hold its first-ever online meeting

Over 30,000 literature evangelists, publishing leaders and administrators worldwide participated in the first ever Global Celebration of Literature Evangelists on July 26, 2020, via virtual platform. Elder Ted Wilson shared an inspiring message on the theme, “It’s Our Time”.

Participants and spectators who needed translations participated via Zoom while those who can speak English joined via Facebook or YouTube.

The objective of this once-in-a-lifetime big event was to praise God through worship in songs and testimonies of various literature evangelists around the world, and to strengthen the work of the publishing ministries during this time of pandemic. Inspiring Words of God from the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy books were also shared by the world leaders.

“Online gatherings like these are very crucial during these times because it allows us to continue the spirit of fellowship, provides with acts of motivation, encourages vivid prayer circles, and opens opportunities for more testimonies sharing,” Pastor Rey Cabañero said, Publishing Ministries director of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division.

“Despite the distance, this empowers our fellowship and faith to be more encouraged during these challenging times,” Cabañero added.

The current pandemic remains to be a great challenge particularly to our lay evangelists as they are not allowed to go out and social distancing is implemented almost in all countries around the world. However, GC leadership through this online convention sparked encouragement to our publishing people to remain steadfast and remain faithful to the Lord for He will prevail in the end and that this pandemic will soon be over.

“Our lay evangelists are adjusting to the new normal forced by this pandemic. They are making use of social media and other digital platforms to advertise our books & magazines to keep their safety and at the same time uphold government mandates on health,” said Cabañero
