The Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD) is set to launch a 10-night online series titled Finding Hope beginning Wednesday, December 3. The hybrid event, led by Pastor Hensley Moorooven, Undersecretary of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, will air nightly at 7 p.m. Philippine time across all Hope Channel platforms within the SSD region.

This series marks the culmination of SSD’s yearlong evangelistic initiative known as Harvest 2025. Throughout the year, churches, organizations, institutions, and leaders across the division united in a continuous cycle of mission activities, prayer gatherings, discipleship programs, and outreach initiatives. As the year comes to a close, Finding Hope stands as a final collective appeal, inviting viewers to begin or renew their walk with Jesus. Leaders pray that this season will result in a multitude of people brought closer to Christ and to a decision of baptism.

A Message Rooted in Scripture
The series invites viewers to explore life’s deepest questions through the teachings of the Bible. Pastor Moorooven will present themes centered on meaning, purpose, and hope—emphasizing that the most enduring answers are found not in human wisdom but in Scripture. Each message aims to guide viewers toward the ultimate source of hope: Jesus Christ.

HOPE Centers Bring the Message to Remote Areas
Beyond the nightly livestream, SSD leaders have prepared additional avenues to ensure the series reaches viewers even in far-flung and hard-to-reach locations. In many areas where internet access is limited or unreliable, local churches will open HOPE Centers—designated viewing hubs where communities can gather to watch the messages together.

To make this possible, leaders and technical teams will download the nightly presentations directly from the regional unions’ media units. These files will be made available in local languages, enabling churches to play the programs without depending on live internet connectivity.

These HOPE Centers function as community watch groups across the division, allowing people in remote areas to participate fully in the series. Organizers view them as vital spaces where families, youth, and seekers can join together in a shared spiritual experience.

SSD Leaders Highlight Purpose and Challenges
Pastor Arnel Gabin, SSD Vice President for NDR-IEL, emphasized the significance of concluding Harvest 2025 with a unified series. He noted that coordinating this division-wide effort brought unique challenges, from multilingual preparation to ensuring cultural sensitivity across countries in the 10/40 Window.

“Uniting our fields for a single evangelistic thrust is not easy,” Pastor Gabin said. “But we believe this is God’s appointed time. People are searching for hope, and we pray that this culmination will draw many to Jesus.”

He shared that local congregations have been preparing prayer initiatives, small group activities, and online engagement to support the event and guide viewers in their spiritual journey.

“Many people carry questions they don’t know who to ask,” Pastor Gabin shared. “This series points them to the One who not only knows the answers but offers true hope.”

Innovation and Technology Strengthen the Initiative
Pastor Michael Palar, SSD Hope Channel Coordinator, described the extensive technical collaboration behind the hybrid series. With broadcasts across television, social media, digital platforms, and church networks, his team has worked to ensure a consistent viewing experience across varied digital environments.

“We want every viewer to feel part of this journey, whether they are watching through Facebook, YouTube, television, or in a HOPE Center in a remote area,” Pastor Palar said. “Technology gives us the chance to reach homes and communities we could not reach before.”

He added that the use of downloadable content and localized playback empowers local churches to conduct watch parties, nurture Bible interests, and follow up with guests who respond to the messages.

A Call to Celebrate Hope in Christ
The Finding Hope series, running from December 3 to 13, stands as the closing chapter of SSD’s year of evangelism—a year marked by testimonies, decisions, and renewed faith. As Pastor Moorooven prepares to open the series, leaders across the division invite viewers to join the livestream, attend a HOPE Center near them, share the message with family and friends, and pray earnestly for the movement of the Holy Spirit.
