The recent "Revelation of Hope" evangelistic campaign sparked a revival across the Adventist Church in South Central Mindanao (SCMM), where 994 individuals publicly declared their faith through baptism, embracing the Adventist message of hope in Christ. Held from October 13–19, 2024, the campaign concluded at the Kidapawan Central Adventist Church, with simultaneous gatherings at ten additional sites across the SCMM region.

Adventist World Radio’s (AWR) Center for Digital Evangelism (CDE) spearheaded the campaign, with Pastor Jeter Canoy, Associate Director of AWR-CDE, delivering nightly messages on God’s plan for humanity and biblical prophecies at the central Kidapawan location. Supporting Canoy’s efforts, ten other CDE missionaries presented similar messages in nearby churches, emphasizing the hope of Christ’s return.

SCMM leaders played a critical role in this effort, securing enough resources for the campaign and attending each night to provide encouragement and prayer. Pastor Canoy expressed appreciation for the church leadership’s dedication, observing, “Each night, SCMM leaders and local pastors were there—praying, encouraging, and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Their love for the mission and the people they serve was truly inspiring.”

The success of the campaign stemmed from a collaboration between SCMM, AWR, and the Southeastern Philippine Union Mission (SePUM). Elder Rhoen Catolico, Communication, Public Affairs, and Religious Liberty Director for the Southeastern Philippine Union Mission, facilitated cooperation with AWR Asia/Pacific and AWR-CDE, integrating digital and traditional evangelistic methods to expand the campaign’s impact. “This event demonstrated the power of unity,” said Catolico. “When leaders, pastors, and members work together, we see the Holy Spirit move in profound ways.”

Each evening, Pastor Canoy’s messages offered attendees guidance and hope, drawing those seeking answers and a fresh start. One participant shared, “I came out of curiosity but found a deeper understanding of God’s purpose for my life. Choosing baptism feels like the start of a new journey filled with hope.” Another attendee described the peace she experienced: “After years of searching, I finally found the message that led me to release my burdens and accept Jesus.”

The 994 baptisms symbolize the impact of dedicated efforts, fervent prayers, and a shared commitment to God’s mission. This milestone highlights the transformative message of hope, drawing people to deeper faith and inspiring further growth in God’s kingdom.
