In Central Philippines, local church administrators from the Adventist Church in Negros Occidental province (NOC) convened from January 31 to February 1, 2025, at the NOC Convention Center for their third annual conference. With the theme “Called to be Faithful: Commandments of God and the Faith of Jesus,” the gathering focused on the goals and objectives of Harvest 2025, reinforcing the year-long evangelistic initiative of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division.

Harvest 2025 follows the Global Total Member Involvement (TMI) strategy, which mobilizes every Adventist—regardless of age or background—to actively engage in evangelism. Nearly a thousand delegates from 41 districts, including district pastors, district leaders, and local church administrators, attended the conference to prepare for the upcoming evangelistic thrust.

Pastor Eliezer “Joer” Barlizo Jr., President of the Central Philippine Union Conference (CPUC), and Pastor Renito Inapan, CPUC Treasurer, were present to affirm the commitment of church members and leaders to this mission. During the vesper worship, Pastor Barlizo encouraged attendees to trust in God’s leading, reminding them, “Stay calm. God will fight for you.” He reinforced the importance of TMI, quoting Ellen G. White’s Acts of the Apostles, which describes the church as God’s chosen agency for the salvation of humanity.

NOC President, Pastor Jophone Galanza, presented a detailed timeline for the preparation and implementation of Harvest 2025, urging all church members to actively participate. “May we all be united in the work of God to finish it,” he told NOC News Flash.

The first quarter of the year is focused on training, groundwork preparation, and motivating church members to actively participate in this initiative. Church leaders emphasize that collective involvement is crucial for its success, highlighting the power of collaboration in spreading God’s message to the community.

As delegates departed from the training, they carried with them a renewed sense of purpose and determination to advance God’s mission. With Harvest 2025 unfolding across the SSD territory, the commitment of church leaders and members in Western Mindanao and Central Philippines sets the stage for a year of transformational evangelism and spiritual revival.
