Bible Seminar in Central Philippines Draws More Than Fifty Baptisms

The Hope Bible Seminar, which took place in Cadiz City, Central Philippines, from April 9 to April 15, 2023, attracted a large number of attendees from diverse family groupings in the neighborhood. By promoting a healthy lifestyle, a happy family, and moral rehabilitation, this meeting intended to share Bible-based ideals in the society.

Pastor Jeter Canoy, the event's coordinator and district pastor, thought of organizing the attendees into four families in able to execute focused activities and attend to inquiries pertaining to family and relationships.  The groups organized were the Family of Hope, the Family of Love, the Family of Grace, and the Family of Faith. This encouraged all guests to attend and participate in the evening programs, who came from all around the city.

"It's inspiring to see how families in this community are responding to this program to bring families closer together. Families continue to want to build and bond with one another, and programs like these aid in the development of relationships and togetherness," Canoy said.

Pastor Fernando Narciso, ministerial secretary of the Adventist Church in Central Philippines (CPUC), expressed gratitude for church member’s involvement in the Lord's work.

"Filipinos are known to be family-oriented, and meetings like these intended to foster family relationships are something that most people would appreciate and support," Narciso added. "Witnessing this baptism where 54 individuals accepted Christ in baptism and responded to dedicate their families to service is encouraging that a lot of people long to be with their families when Christ returns in his second coming," he added.

The outcome of the meeting has motivated the Adventist church in Cadiz City to continue to promote Christian principles, bring hope and inspiration to those who seek it, and demonstrate the power of faith and the importance of sharing the gospel throughout the community.
