The Adventurer Club in Hanoi concluded its second year of operations with an Investiture ceremony on April 12, 2025, recognizing the commitment and achievements of its young members.
Established in 2022, the club has grown steadily and now serves as a key children’s ministry in the area. The 2024–2025 club year began on October 5, 2024, with eight Early Birds and eleven Builders enrolled. Weekly meetings were held every Saturday from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., featuring songs, crafts, Bible-based lessons, and character-building activities.
A significant increase in participation this year included children from the surrounding community, including those from non-Christian backgrounds. Club leaders identified this development as a valuable opportunity to share biblical values with a broader group of children in Hanoi.
The club held an Induction Ceremony on November 30, 2024, formally welcoming new members into the global network of Adventurer Clubs. During the program, children pledged to follow Jesus and to be kind and helpful.
Despite challenges such as cold weather and high levels of air pollution, which restricted outdoor gatherings, the club remained active by relocating activities indoors. Children were also encouraged to perform acts of service at home. Parents shared positive behavioral changes in their children as a result.
“I am forever indebted to you and your team for the impact you have had on my child,” one parent stated in a message to club leaders.
The club organized several special events throughout the year, including birthday celebrations and a Christmas party. A parents’ class also ran alongside the Adventurer sessions. Although not all parents were able to attend regularly due to work commitments, the class evolved into a Bible study that provided spiritual fellowship and support.
In addition, youth directors from the General Conference, Southern Asia-Pacific Division, Southeast Asia Union Mission, and Vietnam Adventist Mission shared video greetings, encouraging the Adventurers and their families to continue their faith journey and service.
Some Adventurers will move on to the Pathfinder Club in the coming year, while others will continue in the Adventurer program. During the break, the church will introduce a Ukulele and Hand Chimes Club to expand music and fellowship opportunities for children.
“For me, the Adventurer Club has nurtured children’s spiritual growth by teaching them about Jesus in fun, engaging ways, while also developing their character, discipline, and teamwork,” said one Masterguide. “To enhance the program, I suggest more parent involvement, creative Bible-based activities, and regular community outreach.”
The Adventurer Club in Hanoi is preparing for its third year, with leaders aiming to welcome more children and families from both the church and the community.
