Adventist Volunteers in Vietnam Celebrate the Season of Giving Through Medical Outreach and Health Missions

The spirit of mission and service flourished as the Adventist Church in Nha Trang organized two meaningful outreach programs, bringing God’s love and hope to the community. From heartfelt prayers in hospital corridors to life-transforming evangelism meetings, these initiatives embodied the message of faith and healing.

On December 20, the church’s volunteers, accompanied by members of the Nha Trang congregation, visited Nha Trang Hospital to uplift patients and their families. Moving through the wards, they offered earnest prayers for children, adults, and the elderly alike, entrusting their pain and suffering to God. The soothing sounds of hymns filled the hospital, creating an atmosphere of hope and peace. Small gifts were also distributed to patients, bringing smiles and warmth to those battling illness.

Reflecting the promise in Numbers 6:24-26—“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace”—the visit became a powerful reminder of God’s grace. Patients and families were not only comforted but also inspired to trust in His healing and care.

The following day, December 21, the church hosted a special health evangelism event, which gathered over 40 participants eager to learn about the harmony of health and faith. The event featured lectures on “Biblical Holistic Health” and “Brain Health,” providing insights into maintaining both physical and spiritual well-being.

The event was graced by Dr. Yoon Moung Seok, a seasoned medical missionary with over 30 years of service in China. Dr. Kim offered free medical consultations, delivering health and comfort to attendees through his compassionate care. His contribution exemplified how medical missions can serve as a channel for God’s healing touch.

In addition to the health sessions, each participant received an evangelistic booklet about the blessed truth and love. The event culminated in the life-changing decision of four individuals to commit their lives to Christ, experiencing His grace in a profound way.

Elder Kim Myeong-seok also made a special contribution by donating a television to the Nyang Adventist Church, enriching its ministry and enhancing its outreach efforts. This generous act symbolized a commitment to empowering spiritual growth within the community.

The hospital visit and the evangelistic event demonstrated the church's commitment to acting as Christ's representatives in their community. These initiatives were made possible through the prayers and support of many, for which the church expressed its deepest gratitude.

As the seeds of faith are planted through these efforts, the Nha Trang Seventh-day Adventist Church prays for God’s blessings to multiply, transforming hearts and lives across the region. The church remains committed to sharing the message of hope, healing, and salvation with those in need, bringing glory to God in every endeavor.
