Adventist University in the Philippines Achieves 100% Passing Rate in Recent Licensure Examination

      June 4, 2024

The Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP), the first and only Adventist university in the country, has once again soared high in the May 2024 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants by the Professional Regulation Commission. Remarkably, a total of 10,421 took the exam, and only 3,155 successfully passed. They will be added to the roster of professional accountants registered in the Philippines.

The rigorous three-day board examination, otherwise known as CPALE, was held on May 26, 27, & 28, 2024, in different testing centers all over the country. Out of the 46 regulated professions that the Commission serves, this professional licensure examination is one of the most difficult.

The number of those who try to pursue a degree in accounting may have dwindled over the years, but still, some remain steadfast in achieving their goals. This year, the nine accounting graduates of AUP, eight of whom are first-time takers, all passed the exam, marking an overall passing rate of 100%. An astounding rating against the 30.28% national passing rate.

Despite the odds and the difficulty encountered by the examinees, including those who missed their graduation ceremony just to prepare for the board examination, all the sacrifices, studying, prayers, and supplications were greatly rewarded. Once again, AUP has proven that academic excellence is achieved in its pursuit of offering quality Bible-based education that will nurture and prepare students not just for this world but for the world to come.

These new accounting professionals will continue to serve in different mission fields and in various capacities. Through their chosen profession, they will continue the ripple of His grace by witnessing in their respective areas of assignment.
