Adventist Church in Southern Asia-Pacific Calls for Prayer and Peace Amid Ongoing Middle East Conflict

Church leaders invite members and friends to unite in prayer for families affected by the violence and to seek God’s guidance for reconciliation, healing and lasting peace.

      March 9, 2026

The Adventist Church in the Southern Asia-Pacific region expresses deep sorrow over the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the suffering it has brought to families, friends and communities.

In moments of crisis, the Church responds with prayer, compassion and care for every human life. Every person matters to God. Scripture consistently calls people to choose reconciliation, mercy and peace over violence.

Every story are real people — parents, children and grandparents — whose lives have been shaken by fear, loss, and uncertainty. The Church recognizes the value of each life and extends heartfelt concern to all who are hurting.

The Church calls on members and friends to unite in earnest prayer for families who have lost loved ones, for those displaced from their homes, and for communities living in fear. The Church also prays for an immediate end to the violence and strife, asking God to soften hearts, restrain harm and open a path toward dialogue and lasting peace. May He comfort the grieving, protect the vulnerable and guide leaders with wisdom and courage.

In this time of turmoil, the Church stands in solidarity with all who suffer and holds firmly to the hope of a future where Christ will bring enduring justice, healing and peace.
