Adventist Church Elects Departmental Leaders for 2025–2030 Term

Adventist Church affirms the leadership of 14 department directors.

As part of the 62nd General Conference Session, the Seventh-day Adventist Church has announced the election of departmental directors who will serve the world church for the 2025–2030 quinquennium. These leaders will oversee global ministries including education, health, youth, family, communication, stewardship, and more.

The following individuals were elected to serve:

  • Ivan H. Omaña, Adventist Chaplaincy Ministries director

  • Orathai Chureson, Children’s Ministries director

  • Alyssa Truman, Communication director

  • Lisa M. Beardsley-Hardy, Education director

  • Willie Oliver, Family Ministries director

  • Zeno Charles-Marcel, Health Ministries director

  • Ramon J. Canals, Ministerial Association Secretary

  • Nelu Burcea, Public Affairs and Religious Liberty (PARL) director

  • Hector Reyes, Planned Giving and Trust Services director

  • Mario Martinelli, Publishing Ministries director

  • James M. Howard, Sabbath School and Personal Ministries director

  • Marcos Faiock Bomfim, Stewardship Ministries director

  • Galina Stele, Women’s Ministries director

  • Sibusiso B Khumalo, Youth Ministries director

Each of these departments plays a vital role in advancing the church’s mission around the world. Through their leadership, the Adventist Church seeks to support local fields, empower ministry leaders, and serve communities in diverse cultural and regional contexts.
