A call to live the Message of Hope

A call to live the Message of Hope

Faith is a crucial foundation in our relationship with Christ. The Bible accounts for many miracles performed during Jesus’ ministry on earth. One thing significant about Jesus’ miracles is His intention to ask His people, “Do you believe?”. Anyone who believes and responds, Jesus performs.

Individuals who experienced God’s healing and guidance suddenly developed a sense of urgency to share and make known to everyone about Jesus’ message of hope.

On the second day of the 12th Literature Evangelists Convention, Elder Rudy Baloyo, Executive Secretary of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division, shared an important reminder to reflect God’s message in our lifestyle.

“This convention reminded everyone that we recognize God’s call in faith to be His messenger,” Baloyo said. “It is an important realization that it is our responsibility to share God’s message to the world, and if we do not share the message, we will all be accountable,” Baloyo added.

With the propagation of the gospel in the old testament and our generation, God has called for His messengers to share the good news of hope and let the world know that He is coming soon to redeem us all. God has called for His men and women to bring His message to His people.

While we continue to witness God’s providences and intervention in different moments of our existence, Baloyo reiterated that we must first immerse ourselves in God’s message. As a messenger, we should experience and recognize God’s love, know our Saviour, and have a deep-rooted relationship with Christ before sending the message to the world.

Baloyo stressed the value of living a Christ-like character, that our lives should be a reflection of God to the world. In our actions and words, the world can see Jesus in us.

Testimonies of Resilience and God’s Grace
After the devotional service, the Philippine Publishing House workforce facilitated the morning program. Several literature evangelists were recognized and were given unique gifts for their services and accomplishments.

Philippine Publishing House president, Pastor Leonardo Heyasa, Jr., reflects on God’s leading throughout the transition from the old to the new building. The bold vision to move PPH to its new location in Silang, Cavite, Philippines, was indeed an act of faith. With challenges insurmountable and sometimes beyond control, the PPH administration and workforce relied on prayers and dedication to make things work accordingly for the benefit of the publishing house.

“We can never credit the completion of the new house to our capabilities. Throughout this journey, God led us throughout and exhibited His bountiful provisions to make this impossible endeavor possible,” Heyasa said.

From the purchase of the House’s new location, construction of the new building, maintenance of old printing machines, and the transport of production equipment to its new facility, God’s message was precise, “He will provide.”

Heyasa encouraged everyone that as they heed God’s call to be messengers, their commitment should be to the ministry and ultimately to God. We will remain faithful to His message in whatever responsibility entrusted to us and stand true to promises.
